ITIL 4 is the latest version since ITIL v3/2011. From the initial release of ITIL v3 in 2007 (ITIL 2011, as an enhancement on ITIL v3, is not a major release), it has been almost twelve years. So much has happened in IT landscape during these good twelve years! An update to reflect the latest practice are urgently needed.

Axelos has recruited a group of top experts working for more than two years, on making this release. This offering will guide a broad range of organizations on coping with the latest challenges during this digitization era. By adopting ITIL 4, these organizations can benefits from effectively governing and managing IT enabled services through a flexible, synergetic and integrated framework.

ITIL 4 helps organizations on incorporating the latest philosophy such as customer experience, value stream and digital transformation, embracing new ways of working such as Lean, Agile, and DevOps, to improve and innovate on top of the established processes and practices established by the previous versions of ITIL (v2, v3 and 2011).

This course is the foundation level course for ITIL 4. The intermediate and advanced level courses will come later.

At the foundation and entry level, this course is suitable for followings:

IT operation, technical support and post-sale service practitioners;

Personnel working on IT Management and Service Management;

Personnel working on Information Security and Information System Auditing;

Other personnel related with IT Service Management (including sales)

Anyone who is interested in ITIL;

Should have some background knowledge about IT. Ideally, the students should come with at least one year of IT professional experiences (on development, testing or operation)

Learn and acquire the prerequisite knowledge about ITIL 4;

Learn about the key concepts of Service Management;

Understand the four dimensions of Service Management;

Understand the purpose and components of the ITIL Service Value System(SVS);

Learn about the core ITIL practices in detail;

Learn about the various ITIL practices on how they contribute to value chain activities;

Pass the PeopleCert? ITIL Foundation Exam and obtain the ITIL 4 Foundation Certification.
